"7 Continents, 7 Roosters: Good Morning to the Children of the World" exhibition, where different disciplines come together to address cultural diversity, offers the opportunity to reflect on the beauty of inclusiveness by entering into a visual and auditory harmony with the toys in the Istanbul Toy Museum collection. Created on the basis of 7 continents and their cultures, the exhibition invites art lovers to explore continents with the works of Mehmet Güleryüz in different rooms of the museum.
The basis of the exhibition is the children's book "Good Morning to the Children of the World", written by Esma Ertel, illustrated with drawings from the "friend's drawer". These drawings by Mehmet Güleryüz meet with their audience for the first time in this exhibition.
The timeless story of "Good Morning to the Children of the World", which removes the boundaries, conveys information about different cultures to children, emphasizes the richness created by its diversity and conveys the importance of this phenomenon to children.
Bringing together painting and literature on the same ground, the multidisciplinary "7 Continents, 7 Roosters: Good Morning to the Children of the World" exhibition offers an auditory experience to its visitors with the music that Esma and Murat Ertel collectively make with world artists using instruments belonging to various cultures.
Meeting with visitors on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day, the exhibition aims to raise awareness on children's rights, cultural rights, freedom of conscience and thought, regardless of language, religion, race.
